Mastering by Matt Zutell
Matt Zutell is an American record producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, & songwriter based out of Charleston, SC. With a degree in economics from the College of Charleston, Zutell founded the music production & promotion label, Coast Records, in 2012, to serve as a platform for releasing his work as a producer and songwriter. Since its inception, Coast Records has evolved into a boutique label that not only produces music, but also operates as a platform of exposure for artists and bands.
Zutell has produced & engineered for Mark Bryan of Hootie & the Blowfish, as well as singles, EPs, mixtapes & full-length albums for numerous artists & bands such as Human Resources, Tom Mackell, Tyler Boone, Chris Wilcox, & more. Zutell has recorded & produced live concert footage for SUSTO, Brave Baby, Drivin' & Cryin', Atlas Road Crew, Heyrocco & more. He has been featured in CofC Magazine, wrote the jingle for the iPhone/Android app "Happy Appy", had an original song chosen as Chucktown Music Group's "Song of the Fortnight" & won EF Tours Reality Web Series Original Song Competition judged by producers of MTV's The Real World.
Zutell is a recurring guest speaker in College of Charleston Music Industry courses and has produced recordings that have granted students acceptance to Berklee College of Music in Boston & the Los Angeles Institute of Music. He spoke on the producer panel at the 2015 and 2016 New Music Confab in Charleston, SC, alongside Grammy award winning producer Rick Beato (Shinedown, Needtobreathe, Trey Anastasio, I-Nine, Corey Smith).
