Coast Records is proud to present the new single “Beauty in the Headlights,” from Charleston, SC based songwriter Thompson Faulk. “Headlights” is the first official release from Faulk’s forthcoming full length album, “This is Life.” The album was recorded across most of 2016 with producer, Matt Zutell, and features musical support from numerous members of the Coast roster.
“Headlights” presents listeners with a lighter glimpse of Faulk's songwriting as it offers insight into what can be expected from the full length release. Rooted in alternative country and steeped with earnestness, both “Headlights” and “This is Life” explore themes of nostalgia, romance, and images of fading youth. The warmth in Thompson’s voice makes each of the tracks feel instantly familiar, while the lyrics conjure lasting images that will resonate with listeners well beyond the first listen.
